GOTS

Short for: Global Organic Textile Standard

In a Nutshell: GOTS is the gold standard for the sustainable processing of clothing and textiles made with organically grown fibers (like organic cotton).

Why you’ll love it: At least 70% organically grown fibers must be used for GOTS certification. Not be treated with bleach, formaldehyde or any other toxic substances - be colored with nontoxic dyes —but that isn’t enough. GOTS also has strict standards for the entire processing chain to ensure you, the workers creating a product, and the environment remain unharmed.
